Member Application

Application Process:

Senior Member Applicants are required to submit a complete application, artist statement or letter of interest, and press packet which should include a business card, short biography and/or condensed artist statement, and three images of current work in digital form (may be emailed as attachments or mailed on CD).  Applications for Senior Membership will be reviewed on a bi-annual basis with the next deadline for review scheduled for June 1st. Before submitting an application please review the member requirements below.

Junior Members are required to submit a complete application and a short statement (3-5 sentences) about their work or interest in the guild (may be completed at first meeting attended after payment).  Junior Members are free to apply at any time throughout the year.

Member requirements:

Dues:
Dues are an integral part of maintaining an active presence locally and online and will not be refunded should a member decide to leave the guild. 
Senior Member Dues: $60.00 for 1 year and are paid in twice annually, $30.00 in January and $30.00  in July.
Junior Member Dues:  $30.00 for 1 year and must be paid at the start of membership.
***Dues are subject to change at yearly review***

Meetings:  Senior Members are expected to attend each monthly meeting (arrangements can be made for extenuating circumstances). Junior Members should plan on attending at least one meeting a quarter.

Local Guild Activities: Members are required to participate in guild activities including local art nights, fairs, presentations, workshops, fundraising events, projects, and gallery shows.  To make the experience an enjoyable one every one is expected to promote these events and to work at the events on a rotating schedule. 

Online Guild Activities: Building an online presence is a significant requirement of guild membership. Not only does a vibrant online network promote the work of guild members, it also connects each of us to the wider metals community.  Members are required to participate actively with at least one online platform such as Facebook, Crafthaus, Flickr, Blogger, ETSY, etc.

Guild Sales: A percentage will be taken from each sale made during a guild event.

Donations: Members are encouraged to donate at least one piece per year to a local charitable event/organization.
