NC Black Presents: Basic Micro Shell Forming Demo
April 2nd, 6-9pm
Watch the newest set of tools on the market in action! Micro Shell forming techniques are very useful in today’s market due to the rising costs of precious metals. Now, using these specially designed tools, NC BLACK will demonstrate to metalsmiths just how they can learn to use thinner gauge materials yet create voluminous and structurally sound forms using one half the typical amount of metal in a micro format. Using the NEW Micro Shell Forming Tools from NC BLACK Co., metalsmiths can watch the basics of Micro Shell Forming. Micro sized spiculums and micro anticlastic raising are but two of the techniques illustrated. Synclastic Forming on the micro scale is now possible with the new series of Micro Synclastic/Shell Forming Hammers developed by NC BLACK Co. In this demo the NC BLACK Team will walk you through the benefits of using this micro set and teach you how to create small, delicate forms with ease.
